Editorial notes

  1. 01

A violet-leaf and iris fougère Creed describes as the scent of Irish meadows, cut grass and sea breeze, the formula that anticipated the entire mass-market aquatic-fougère wave.

  2. 02

Shares much of its signature accord with Davidoff Cool Water from 1988. Both were composed by Pierre Bourdon, who reused his violet-leaf and dihydromyrcenol concept for the mass market three years later.

  3. 03

Sold as a Creed exclusive and credited to Olivier Creed alongside Bourdon. Bourdon has since acknowledged sole authorship in interviews.

  4. 04

Composed by Pierre Bourdon in 1985 around lemon verbena and peppermint over an iris-violet leaf heart and sandalwood-ambergris base.
